When is the last time you read a good book and didn't have anyone to talk to about it? When was the last time you had fun conversation, good food, and met new friends? Maybe you are new to the area such as myself and are bored with being at home. If any of those areas apply to you then join us! South Suburban Ladies of Literature is an up and coming bookclub that will allow members to venture out and read new and exciting books from all genres. We will leave no stone unturned in this bookclub an …
This bookclub is open to anyone in their 20s. The limit per event is 12 people so that we can have a good, organized discussion and each member is required to pay dues of $5 either via paypal or cash at their first Meetup event (as the organizer I have to pay Meetup to maintain the website so this goes towards that). RSVPs are open for each book selection 2 weeks before the discussion so make sure you've read the book (or are reading it) before you commit to discussing it. At each Meetup we co …
This bookclub is for women who enjoy African American fiction and non-fiction. Let's read and discuss Hill Harper, Carl Weber, Eric Jerome Dickey, Kimberla Lawson Roby, Walter Mosley, Jill Scott, even Zane! If you enjoy reading, and want to discuss/share your thoughts on entertaining books, let's start a group.

I had the opportunity to read a lot of great books I may not have picked up on my own and I hope to be introduced to even more! This is a co-ed bookclub that will meet once a month, at local coffee sho …

Our group's criteria consist of African American ladies age 45+. We're searching for members who wish to get the most of what life has to offer (going to a bar is fun but lets broaden our horizon). We want members who know they are STARS even if others are too blind to see how bright they shine. This is a start-up group, therefore, we' …
We are a group of black women who love to read, want to read more and meet like minded women. We are here to inspire women to read, share literature, fellowship, and encourage others in the joy of reading. We meet in New Lenox at Starbucks. We are an eclectic group of women and so are our reading selections. Find out more at our web site www.mochagirlsread.com
I would love to meet other women in the Skokie area who are working professionals and love reading! Let's start a book discussion group with slightly older women, 50ish, who would love to laugh, talk, and enjoy great books!
There are no upcoming Meetups.
